My name is Dr. Lucy Curzon and I am an Assistant Professor of Modern and Contemporary Art History in the Department of Art and Art History at The University of Alabama. I have a BAH in British History from the University of King’s College (Halifax, NS), an MA in British History from Dalhousie University (Halifax, NS), and a PhD in Visual and Cultural Studies from the University of Rochester (Rochester, NY).

I just stumbled across your site..interesting. I grew up in the working class area of Bolton in the 50′s and 60′s..I don’t think thing changed much until the 80′s (thatcher epoch). I have a couple of Spenders books on ‘Worktown’
By the way ..were you aware of this ols Bolton connection to NY?
